Here we go again…
For me school starts tomorrow and I have no idea what I’m going to do. Sure I bought my supplies and stuff so technically I’m ready but psychologically I’m not. During summer I spent most of my time in my room staring at a blank wall thinking how can I change this year? Personally, I fear change as it makes me insecure about what other people might think of the change I made but eventually I’ll have to face the music one way or another. I’m growing up in all sorts of way and no matter how hard I try to hide them, I’m going to have to deal with the changes my body makes physically and mentally. But what about other things, such as the way I wear my hair? I’m not obligated to change that so why do it? Still, I’ve always been eager to do all sorts of things to my hair but then comes the part where I have to show up to school in a different hairstyle where everyone will be staring at me. I just despise the look they give me, are they confused? Maybe shocked? Or even jealous? I guess I will never know for sure what they’re thinking unless I’m some kind of mind reader – which would be awesome! So basically, I can’t wait to go to university and start a new chapter of my life where hopefully I won’t worry about what people think of me as much. Anyways, I’m just here to talk.
“Those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.”
― George Bernard Shaw
Having lived years before technology took over, I know that I prefer a technology-free world. I am not saying that technology is useless, as it has improved life for millions of people (even mine), but I think it is getting out of hand! Most people are becoming more and more dependant on technology, thus becoming sluggish.
I’m becoming a couch potato, I spend more time staring at a screen than going to school. It’s frustrating, and for some reason I can’t stop! Do you have that problem?
The only reason I am despising technology is because of my fear of robots taking over the world…sounds crazy,I know but have you ever watched I, Robot? It talks about a techno-phobic detective who investigates a crime that may have been perpetrated by a robot, which leads to a larger threat to humanity. Maybe it’s just me being silly or maybe you think so too, in the end I’m just here to talk!
“The march of science and technology does not imply growing intellectual complexity in the lives of most people. It often means the opposite.” ―Thomas Sowell
Hi, my name is **** but you can call me DeeEss. My age is just a number, physically I am young but mentally I am old and wise. Living in a modern developing world, people have a chance to express themselves by various actions, such as dancing, drawing, writing, blogging and much more. Everyone including you has a choice, either you get up and raise your voice or just sit in the corner and watch others speak their mind. So who are you?
Me? I am here to talk.
“When you give yourself permission to communicate what matters to you in every situation you will have peace despite rejection or disapproval. Putting a voice to your soul helps you to let go of the negative energy of fear and regret.”
― Shannon Alder
